Kalispell man surrenders following SWAT response
The Kalispell police special response and Flathead County SWAT teams responded early Tuesday to an apartment complex on East Idaho Street looking for a local man with a $200,000 warrant.
Scott Foster, 34, of Kalispell, ultimately surrendered to police without issue, according to the Kalispell Police Department. The warrant was issued by the state Department of Corrections for a probation violation.
Police had been surveilling the area through Monday morning, according to the department. The special response and SWAT teams were called in Tuesday because Foster allegedly made previous threats toward law enforcement, the department said in a release.
The SWAT team included members from the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office, and Whitefish and Polson police departments.
