Troy TV District benefits from LCCF donation

| December 9, 2022 7:00 AM

The Troy/Lake Creek TV District recently accepted a $2,000 grant from the Lincoln County Community Foundation which will enable the TV district to upgrade their electrical equipment on King Mountain.

The grant was made possible by an endowed gift from the Bob Pedersen estate. Bob spent four years in the U.S. Air Force repairing cameras used on B29 bombers. After that he enrolled in Gonzaga University where he graduated first in his class in electrical engineering.

Lincoln County Community Foundations is a tax-exempt public charity that supports the quality of life in south Lincoln County – through donations that are pooled to address community needs and support local nonprofits.

Lincoln County Community Foundation (LCCF) executes this mission by building permanent endowments through annual and planned gifts from individuals, families, businesses, and charitable institutions.

These permanent endowments are held in perpetuity for the benefit of the community; this means that as the funds grow, a portion of the investment returns are used for grants while the remainder of the funds continue to grow into the future forever.

LCCF is affiliated with the Montana Community Foundation who invests the endowment.

In the past 10 years, LCCF has awarded 94 grants and distributed $97,041 within Lincoln County.

Supporting LCCF ensures that wealth remains within our community to support local issues and organizations.

As LCCF’s permanent endowment grows, there will be a stable and strong source of grants to address community needs into the future, making Lincoln County a better place to live, work and call home.
