Millpond Motocross competitors stand up to the heat

The weather was hot and the riders left the course sweaty and in need of hydration, but dozens of youth, their family and fans of the sport of motocross left the Millpond Motocross course happy after a day of adrenaline-charged racing.

Competitors came from all the Northwest, including Montana, Idaho and Washington. Northwest Montana was was well represented, too, as the field was dominated by racers from Libby, Troy, the Flathead Valley and Plains.

Here are the race results.

In the 250 Beginners class, Libby’s Parker Bache won while Jaxon Uithof was second. Colton Rehl was sixth and Talon Rehl was seventh.

In the Girls Class, Libby’s Alli Clemons was the winner.

In the Schoolboy Class, Hayden, Idaho’s Kayden Palmer won it. Libby was well represented with Zach Flink taking third, Sidney Clemons was fourth, Parker Bache was fifth, Ashton Rehl was seventh, Talon Rehl was eighth and Colton Deal was ninth.

In the 65cc Class, Terry Kinney of Plains won it while Libby’s Cash Remp was second.

In the 50 7-8-year Class, Cash Remp was the winner.

In the Women’s Class, Libby’s Sidney Clemons won the race while Rylin Uithof was second, Alli Clemons was third and Bailey Haugen was fourth.

In the Vet 30-plus Class, Libby’s Cody Preitauer was the winner.

In the 250 and 450 Pro divisions, Braden Spangle of Mead, Washington, was the winner.

In the 250 Intermediate Class, Rowdy White of Columbia Falls took top honors.

In the 250 Junior Class, Landen Andres won it. Libby racers Sidney Clemons was second, Bryce Moeller was third and Skyler Higareda was seventh. Troy’s Derrick Hobson was fifth.

In the 50 Open Class, Kalispell’s Cooper VanBemmel was the winner.

In the 50 0-6 years old Class, Hunter Tatum of Bonners Ferry was the winner.

In the Supermini Class, Bigfork’s Logan Cargill won it while Libby’s Westin Remp was third, Parker Bache was fourth and Ashton Rehl was fifth.

In the 85cc Class, Bigfork’s Logan Cargill was the winner and followed by Libby’s Westin Remp was second. Also, Ashton Rehl of Libby was fourth, Bridger Bache was fifth and Caleb Prietauer was sixth.

In the 450 Beginners Class, Sandpoint’s Argus Bockus won the race. Libby competitors Talon Rehl was seventh and Colton Rehl was eighth. Troy’s Aayden Pattie was ninth.

In the 450 Junior Class, Troy’s Derrick Hobson was third. Landen Andres of Lewistown, Idaho, won it.

In the 450 Intermediate Class, Rowdy White of Columbia Falls won it.
