Libby Public Schools announce registration dates

Libby Public Schools has announced its registration dates for the 2022-23 school year.

For new elementary school students in grades one through six, registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 10.

New students need an up-to-date immunization record, certified birth certificate, name, address and phone number of previous school, a previous school report card and/or other school record, and name and phone number of an emergency contact.

Arrangements will be made for placement testing.

For returning students, registration is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 12.

Any student planning on participating in extra-curricular activities must have a doctor’s sports physical before any practice.

The open house for grades 1 to 6 is from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 24 with the first day of school on Aug. 25. The kindergarten open house is from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 31 with the first day of school on Sept. 1.

The pre-kindergarten open house will be 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 with the first day of school on Sept. 6.

For middle and high school students, grades 7 to 12, registration for students with last names starting A-L is Wednesday, Aug. 10. For students with last names starting M-Z is Thursday, Aug. 11. For new, exchange and makeups, it is Friday, Aug. 12. Times for all three days are 9 a.m. to noon. Thursday, Aug. 25 is the first day of school.
