Flawless play? Not exactly entertaining? There was something for everyone.

Forty-one total runs. Twenty-four walks, 18 by Priest River. Five hit Lady Trojan batters, numerous errors, a home run and even a triple play — all in seven innings.

In a high scoring back and forth affair, Troy’s Audrianna Borgmann’s two out walk-off single earned the Lady Trojans a wild victory over the Priest River Spartans.

With Lady Trojan Leslie Gravier on the mound, the Spartans took an early 3-0 lead. Six walks and 13 batters later Troy had the lead at 8-3. With each at bat the lead would change.

The top of the second inning saw Priest River regain the lead 10-8.

Troy’s turn: Gravier’s two run double combined with Elaine Folkerts being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, the Lady Trojans went ahead 11-10.

A three run homer in the fifth inning helped give the Spartans its largest lead of the game at 17-11.

With Folkerts now on the mound, Troy retired the sides in order in the fifth inning.

Entering the seventh with the score tied at 19, Priest River pushed a run in to score — Spartans 20, Lady Trojans 19. That would be the Spartans last run.

With runners on first and second and no out, Priest River looked likely to add to their lead. A fly-out and two outs later and Troy had turned a triple play.

Down 20-19 with their final at bat, Allie Carr’s sacrifice grounder tied the game at 20. Then Borgmann did her thing — game over. Troy 21, Priest River 20.

Note: In JV action Troy defeated Priest River 23-8.
