It’s nice to have a few heavy hitters in your lineup, girls with some pop in their bats.

You’re never out of a game if you have that threat. Besides, fans like to see the long-ball.

Leading 3-1 after the first inning, the visiting Mission Valley Lady Bulldogs flipped the switch on Troy's Lady Trojans softball team.

After two innings, Mission led Troy 19-1 with a pair of home runs combined with two triples that brought in seven runs.

The Lady Trojans were able to get another run across the plate in the third inning.

Leslie Gravier then walked to first. Two batters later, a Jaylee Leighty single scored Gravier from second base.

With Mission then leading Troy 23-1, the win was awarded to the Lady Bulldogs.

In three innings of play, Mission accounted for four home runs along with four triples.

Jaylee Leighty knocked in both Lady Trojan runs. Leslie Gravier reached base twice. Gravier singled and walked. Gravier also accounted for both Troy runs.
