Kootenai Muzzleloaders host Rock River Rendezvous
The spring Rock River Rendezvous kicked off Thursday at Fawn Creek Campground near Libby.
Featuring traditional 1800s garb and camping, blackpowder firearms and primitive archery trails, the event lasted through Sunday with an awards ceremony. The rendezvous is hosted by the Kootenai Muzzleloaders.
Group secretary and treasurer Charlotte Morain said the spring rendezvous started as a one-day shoot but expanded in recent years to encompass a full three-day weekend.
Held for the past quarter-century, Morain said, the fall Two Rivers Rendezvous is slated this year for the second weekend of July at the campground.
