William N. Partch, 92

William N. “Neil” Partch, 92, died Aug. 20, 2021 at Libby Care Center. He was born on Nov. 2, 1928, in McKeesport, Penn., to Edgar and Florence Partch.

He was raised in Pennsylvania during his younger years. The family moved to Ohio in 1937 and on to Arizona in 1943. They remained in Arizona until the end of World War II. They moved to Spokane in 1946.

Neil lived in Spokane for 21 years and became a longtime employee of Boise-Cascade Company. He moved to Libby in 1967 and worked for St. Regis and Champion International until he retired in October 1989. He married Claudina Lara on June 3, 1972.

Neil was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish in Libby. He was an active member of Knights of Columbus and had been Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of Lumber and Sawmill Workers Local 2581 and Libby Senior Citizens. He enjoyed bowling, playing pinochle and watching baseball.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudina, in January 2008 and by twin brother Earl in 1990.

Rosary was Sept. 1 at Schnackenberg Funeral Home Chapel in Libby. Mass of the Resurrection was Sept. 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libby. Burial will take place Sept. 7 at 11:30 a.m., Montana Standard Time, at Spokane Memorial Gardens in Spokane, Wash.
