Harassment, threat, intimidation

A caller reported suffering harassment at the hands of an ex-boyfriend.

9:47 a.m.

Theft

An East 5th Street Extension resident told authorities that a man took items from her grandmother’s home. When confronted, the man threatened her.

10:48 a.m.

Traffic stop

First responders took one individual to a local medical center after a traffic stop near U.S. Highway 2 and California Avenue. The motorist was warned for speed and cited for failure to have insurance.

12:02 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A local merchant told Libby police officers that she felt threatened by a customer.

Animal complaint

A caller reported possible animal abuse at a neighbor’s home on Vicks Drive.

3:14 p.m.

Motor vehicle theft

A man told Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies that he paid for a vehicle several months ago but had been unable to obtain it.

Suspicious activity

Libby police officers headed to Education Way after receiving a report of a man screaming for help in the area. Officers reported that the area was quiet.

6:15 p.m.

Animal complaint

A North Colorado Avenue resident told Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies that a dog was constantly chasing deer.

6:47 p.m.

Criminal trespass

A 911 caller reported spotting a man trespassing on Therriault Creek Road.

7:08 p.m.

Traffic stop

Libby police officers arrested Dustin Steiger, 32, for a probation violation after a traffic stop near the intersection of 6th Street and California Avenue.

9:25 p.m.

Child custody

A caller asked Libby police officers if they could retrieve her 15-year-old son. The teenage was at his grandmother’s house and refused to come home. Her father also attempted to retrieve the minor, but the grandmother told the boy he did not have to leave. Officers warned the grandmother about custodial interference.

10:01 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A caller told authorities that his ex-partner continues to call and text despite being involved in a partner or family member assault case with him. Her other ex-boyfriend is also texting him and making threats.

A Three Corner Road resident asked to speak with law enforcement personnel regarding threats he received from a woman and a man.

12:57 a.m.

Traffic accident

First responders headed to mile marker 24 of state Highway 37 for a report of a one-vehicle accident.

Drugs, drug paraphernalia

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a drug case.

7:54 a.m.

Fire

Fire crews headed to a chimney fire on Wisconsin Avenue.

9:27 a.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A Louisiana Avenue man reported that he and his partner are suffering harassment at the hands of a woman in another state.

Civil complaint

A Woodland Heights resident asked to speak with law enforcement personnel regarding a man living on her property.

Theft

A Spencer Road resident asked to speak with a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy regarding property theft.

Fish and game

A caller found an injured deer in a vacant lot near 2nd Street Extension.

Animal complaint

A caller raised concerns about a dog left chained up on a short leash all day long.

Restraining order violation

A caller asked for Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies to check her Bull Lake Road home to make sure a man was not on her property. She told authorities she received a third-hand report that the man was violating a temporary restraining order.

Civil complaint

An individual asked to speak with Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies about “some issues.”

2:14 p.m.

Fraud

A caller reported catching a man using another individual’s EBT card at a local supermarket.

3:19 p.m.

Suspicious person

A caller told Libby police officers that a man appeared to be filming her and her son while they were near Central School earlier in the day.

3:42 p.m.

Drugs, drug paraphernalia

A Parmenter Drive resident told authorities she found possible drugs and drug paraphernalia.

4:25 p.m.

Disturbance

A man asked for help from law enforcement personnel in retrieving his personal items. He recently got into an argument with his girlfriend.

6:03 p.m.

Theft

A caller reported watching a woman take items off the back dock of a Libby business.

7:54 p.m.

Disturbance

A Libby Creek Road resident reported that neighbors were lighting off fireworks. The commotion left her dogs barking. Responding Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies spoke with the parties involved and assured the resident that the fireworks were not being set up to intentionally upset the canines.

9:56 p.m.

Unattended death

Authorities responded to an unattended death on U.S. Highway 2.

10:32 p.m.

911 call

A Granite Creek Resident accidentally dialed 911. They told authorities they had a bad dream, but everything else was OK.
