Libby man succumbs to injuries sustained in wreck
A Libby man has died from injuries he suffered in a traffic accident last month.
According to information from Montana Highway Patrol, Richard Lee Thompson, 64, died Monday evening.
According to the accident report, the man was driving a 2019 Ford F350 west on U.S. 2 at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, when the truck left the right side of the road, went up an embankment and then overturned back on to the road before striking the guard rail.
He was then taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Road conditions were described as wet. Alcohol, drugs and speed were not suspected in the crash.
