Earl O. Stevens Jr., 84

Earl O. Stevens Jr., 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 16, 2021, with his wife and best friend, Ada Stevens, by his side.

Earl was born April 21, 1936, in St. Maries, Idaho, and upon graduation from high school, he joined the U.S. Army in 1953. Earl served in both the Korean and Japanese wars, and was honorably discharged in 1959.

Earl moved to Seattle after his tour in the Army. There, he drove Metro-Transit buses for 15 years. Earl later moved to Spokane, Wash., in 1999, and worked as a custodian with the Paulsen Center. During his time in Spokane, he met his wife, Ada, in 2002.

They moved to Libby in 2007 and were married April 9, 2011.

Earl enjoyed working with his tools, making things for the home and friends. He also enjoyed camping, and got outside as much as possible.

Earl is survived by his wife, Ada Stevens.

A military memorial will be held June 5, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Lincoln County Veteran’s Memorial in Riverfront Park. All are invited to attend.
