Public assistance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies intervened in an argument at a local gas station. A caller told authorities that she had been on the phone with her daughter when she heard a disagreement break out on the other end of the line. The call dropped and the woman was unable to reach her child again. Deputies caught up with the daughter at a local gas station and separated the parties involved in the argument.

10:58 a.m.

Disturbance

A woman contacted law enforcement after receiving information that a man and a woman were fighting on the property of a local gas station that same morning. She was unsure if the pair was still fighting or even on the property.

11:02 a.m.

Criminal trespass

A Rustic Avenue resident contacted Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies after his sister refused to leave his home.

Fraud

A North Town Drive resident reported receiving a fraudulent letter purportedly from workers’ comp.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies headed to Reserve Road for a report of an argument between a mother and son.

A Vanderwood Road resident reported loud music emanating from a neighbor’s home. The male, who had been drinking, agreed to turn the music down.

A man asked to speak with authorities regarding drugs or drug paraphernalia.

Unattended death

An unattended death was reported on Bull Lake Road.

8:58 a.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A caller told authorities that her ex-husband had sent threatening messages.

Theft

A Pinewood Lane resident reported the theft of multiple firearms and a purse from the home of their grandparents.

Fish and game

A Pine Haven Road resident reported hearing high-powered shots in the area. Authorities suggested it might be duck hunters.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Conifer Road after a man reported that his wife had been attacked by their new roommate.

Animal complaint

Local authorities cleared the carcass of a dead dog from the railroad tracks near Riverfront Park in Libby.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a tampering with evidence case in Eureka.

City ordinance violation

Libby police officers investigated a city ordinance violation on East 3rd Street.

Libby police officers issued a warning after getting called to a local thrift store for a report of a city ordinance violation.

Libby police officers temporarily apprehended a man mistakenly thought to be wanted out of Missoula. Officers arrived at a local supermarket after a caller reported seeing the wanted man shopping inside.

Libby police officers cited a woman after she returned to a West 9th Street business where she previously had been trespassed. A caller reported her after she began soliciting store patrons for a ride.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies headed to Waterfront Road after two neighbors reported each other to authorities. Both accused the other of acting aggressively.

An individual told authorities that another person had locked their computer and demanded money.

Authorities tracked down the owners of several horses running loose near mile marker 12 of Pipe Creek Road.
