Thomas Wayne Sunell, 66

Thomas Wayne Sunell, 66, of Kalispell died July 16, 2021, at Logan Health Medical Center after a brief unexpected illness. Tom was born July 8, 1955, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Howard Sulo Sunell and Betty Louise Hutton Sunell.

Tom’s father passed away July 29, 1962. When Tom was eight years old, his mother remarried to Clyde E. Ross Sr., who raised Tom as his own. Tom attended public school in Libby.

Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Louise Hutton Sunell Ross; two sisters, Sally Kay Sunell Phillips and Evelyn Marie Sunell; and grandparents, Walter and Sally Sunell and Harold and Evelyn Hutton. He is survived by his stepfather Clyde E. Ross Sr.; siblings, Howard and Fran Sunell of Kalispell, Kenny and Marina Sunell of Kalispell, Marcia and Bill Alexander of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Clyde E. Ross Jr. of Libby and Michael and Lydia Simms of San Diego; nieces and nephews, Crystal, Zachary, Cassandra, Karina, Larissa, Oliver, Aaron, Jason, Jeremy and Ashley; as well as many aunts uncles and cousins.

There will be a memorial service at the family park here in Libby at a later date.
