After an incredibly successful inaugural festival in 2019, the Under The Big Sky Festival is moving forward with concert dates planned for July 17 and 18 at Big Mountain Ranch east of Whitefish.

After a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the festival returns with a power-packed slate of talent that includes big-name performers such as EmmyLou Harris, Dwight Yoakam and many others.

The two-day event will showcase the very best in Americana, folk, alt-country and rock across two stages. The festival pairs cutting-edge emerging voices and talents with musical icons, creating a unique showcase for the diverse strains of American music today.

In addition to Harris and Yoakam, this year’s line-up includes Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Tyler Childers, Brothers Osborne, Colter Wall, Shovels & Rope, Orville Peck, Jade Bird and many more.

The festival also will welcome Elle King, North Carolina duo Mandolin Orange, Lucinda Williams, and the honky tonk sounds of Jesse Daniel.

Orville Peck has rejoined the bill, and Yoakam makes his return to complete the Friday night affair alongside Billy Strings and Ryan Bingham.

Tickets are on sale now. For those still looking for lodging, plenty of camping is available at Scout & Gather near the festival grounds.

Under The Big Sky is held on Big Mountain Ranch, a 350-acre working farm located just over a mile east of the city limits of Whitefish. The site plan has been expanded in 2021 to provide attendees with more space.

The festival is an all-ages event, with free entry for children under 6. For tickets, COVID-19 policies and further information, visit
