Forrest Joe Spencer, 62

Forrest Joe Spencer, 62, of Libby, passed away Oct. 16, 2020. He was born July 13, 1958, in Iraan, Texas, to Lyle R. and Martha S. Spencer.

He passed away in Vancouver, Wash., surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Lewy body dementia.

Joe married Charlene (Lindsay) Spencer on July 21, 1979. He mostly worked construction in Wyoming, Idaho and Washington and delivered propane in Alaska. He retired from International Laborers Union in 2014.

Joe enjoyed his family get-togethers, motorcycles, classic trucks, NASCAR races, fishing, hunting and going to car shows. He won the Montana Hot Rod Association award here in Libby in 2018.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Martha Spencer.

Joe is survived by his wife, Charlene; two daughters, Christina Spencer (Matt) and Melissa Spencer (Taylor), of the Olympia, Wash., area; his sister, Kathy Fenison; two brothers, Lyle A. and Byron Spencer of Texas; several nieces, Bonnie, Heidi, Vanessa, Alicia, Michelle, Jennifer, Lacy, Leslie and Lynette; nephews, Coby, Chad, Benjamin, Jimmy, Ryan and Scott; sisters-in-law, Maxine (Joe) Kelly, Kathy (Gary) Isaacson, Donna (Duane) Lindsay; and brother-in-law Mark (Kathy) Fenison.

There will be a family funeral on Oct. 24 at Schnackenberg Funeral Home in

Libby.
