Rethinking the Trump presidency

To the editor:
Back in 2016, when then-presidential candidate Donald Trump made fun of the disabled reporter Serge Kovaleski, I really had hope for him and the future of our country. When he read a cue card at Liberty Baptist College and said "Two Corinthians 3:17, that's the whole ballgame. ... Is that the one you like?" I knew he was in tight with the God I worship.
It's just sad to see him now sit in his bunker and feverishly attempt to undermine the will of the people and let the country get sucked into a vortex of death that has now taken the number of lives we lost on Sept. 11, 2001, nearly a hundred times over.
I'm starting to feel like I was conned.
