Harassment, threat, intimidation

A caller asked to speak with law enforcement regarding her sister, who was calling and texting nonstop.

2:52 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle

Libby police officers warned a motorist for possessing an expired driver’s license after his vehicle was reported as suspicious. The man told officers that he was just getting some rest.

Animal complaint

A North Central Road resident asked authorities to keep an eye out for her horse.

9:33 a.m.

Disturbance

A Three Corner Trailer resident called authorities after her ex partner showed up at her home.

10:17 a.m.

City ordinance violation

Libby police officers cited a resident near the intersection of 4th Street and Mineral Avenue for blocking the highway.

10:36 a.m.

Theft

A county resident reported the theft of his firearm from his vehicle. He told authorities that the vehicle had been in three different repair shops over the course of the last month.

11:43 a.m.

Public assistance

Upon getting flagged down near the intersection of East Spruce Street and U.S. Highway 2, a Libby police officer was asked for a recommendation on where to get a good cup of coffee.

City ordinance violation

Libby police officers cited a motorist near the intersection of 2nd Street and Idaho Avenue for parking the wrong way.

City ordinance violation

Libby police officers cited a Crotteau Road resident for erecting a fence higher than six feet.

Agency assistance

Dispatchers from Flathead County asked for a ground ambulance crew to assist with treating an injured firefighter out of Sanders County.

Fish and game

A Vicks Lane resident told authorities that their neighbor has deliberately shooting to wound deer with a crossbow.

Property

A caller reported losing his gun near the Kootenai Falls.

Public assistance

Libby police officers performed a welfare check on Montana Avenue after receiving an anonymous call regarding a woman possibly passed out under the influence of drugs while caring for small children. Responding officers determined the woman was OK and not under the influence of drugs.

Theft

Libby police officers investigated the theft of medication from a vehicle left parked at a local supermarket.

Public safety

A caller reported a smoking power line near mile marker 35 of U.S. Highway 2.

11:26 a.m.

Animal complaint

A local animal rescue group found an abandoned dog that possibly suffered from abuse.

3:33 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle

A caller reported an abandoned vehicle near mile marker 24 of state Highway 56.

5:33 p.m.

Public safety

An individual asked to speak with a Libby police officer about workers coming into the area without masks, disregarding social distancing requirements and behaving rudely. The individual said the workers began threatening him in Spanish.

Animal complaint

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a report of dogs kept in small cages with no food or water on North Rolling Hills Road.

8:34 p.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Lewis Loop for a report of loud arguing. The two individuals involved left the scene, leaving behind several children. Deputies made contact with the individuals and left after the children were put in another person’s care.

9:44 p.m.

City ordinance violation

Libby police officers cited a motorist for parking on the wrong side of the road near the intersection of 6th Street and California Avenue.

1:48 a.m.

Suspicious vehicle

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Ernest Alan Pattee for allegedly driving under the influence after authorities investigated a suspicious vehicle report near U.S. Highway 2 and Hope Avenue.

2:25 a.m.

Warrant

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Austin Douglas Campbell on an outstanding warrant near U.S. Highway 2 and Hope Avenue.

7:16 a.m.

Criminal mischief

Libby police officers investigated a smashed window at an East Spruce Street business.

8:24 a.m.

Disturbance

A South Lane resident called authorities after her neighbor came onto her property to dispute ownership of the land.

9:45 p.m.

Criminal trespass

A Three Corners resident reported catching several individuals trespassing on her property.

11:54 a.m.

Suspicious activity

Libby police officers investigated a report of two men peering through the back window of a vehicle. The men were gone when officers arrived.

11:59 a.m.

Suspicious activity

Authorities were summoned to Farm to Market Road for a report of a man coming onto property without permission and removing brush. The caller suspected the man was under the influence of a substance.

7:55 p.m.

Public safety

A bag of garbage was left in a travel lane on U.S. Highway 2.

8:32 p.m.

Suspicious person

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at a Vicks Drive home after receiving a report regarding a man wandering through a yard and around vehicles. Deputies caught up with the man and recommended he stay away from other people’s property.

9:50 p.m.

Agency assistance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies joined authorities in Boundary County in a search for a vehicle headed toward Southside Road. Law enforcement personnel had spike strips at the ready. The suspected eventually fled on foot.

11:29 p.m.

Fire

First responders arrived at Conifer Road for a report of a chimney fire.

11:45 p.m.

Suspicious person

A Spencer Road resident reported spotting four individuals creeping around their home.
