Libby police officers cited a motorist for driving with a suspended license, lacking insurance and committing a stop sign violation.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of random graffiti sprayed onto area storage units.

Animal complaint
A Quartz Road resident contacted law enforcement after a kitten showed up at her home. The animal had a collar, which meant a local shelter would not take it, and she could not tend for it. Authorities encouraged her to post a photo to social media or release the cat to see if it could find its way home.

A caller reported possessing video of high school students playing with a dead coyote.

School officials contacted law enforcement to report a truant juvenile.

Libby police officers got a tip from out of state regarding a scammer claiming to sell horse trailers.

Harassment, threat, intimidate
A caller reported suffering harassment via mobile phone. The caller said he did not want to block the number the harassment was coming from because “he would like to know what he thinks of him.”

Suspicious person
Libby police officers responded to a local bank after receiving a report of a man urinating in the parking lot. The man later knocked on the door of the bank and eventually began kicking it.
5:15 p.m.
Public safety
Receiving a report of three young children left alone in a vehicle parked in the lot of a local supermarket, Libby police officers later determined there was an adult supervising the minors.

Theft
An Edgewater Drive resident reported the theft of a handgun. The firearm was last seen on Sept. 24.

A Barnaby Lake Road resident told Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies that a neighbor blows a train horn while driving by every day.

Libby police officers warned a bicyclist for riding after dark with no lights.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of a man sleeping in a vehicle at a local gas station.

Libby police officers headed to Montana Avenue after a caller reported that a man was harassing several children.

A Dakota Avenue resident reported catching a cleaning person stealing medication.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Robert Marozzo on a driving under the influence charge after responding to a suspicious vehicle call near Margaret Lane.

Libby police officers responded to 2nd Street after multiple calls regarding a disturbance.

A state Highway 37 resident reported kicking a homeless man off of his property. The resident told authorities he found the man sleeping in an unused vehicle.

A Happys Inn resident told authorities that a herd of cattle had wandered into the yard.

A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported receiving a threat from his tenant. The resident was unable to provide the name of the tenant.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated reports of possible street racing.

A caller reported the theft of school computers in Libby.

Authorities investigated a suspicious vehicle near Othorp and Black Lake roads.

Libby police officers investigated suspicious activity near West Larch Street.

Animal complaint
A caller reported seeing two dogs, possibly spaniels, attack a doe. Authorities received a second call from Cabinet Avenue reporting an injured deer. That caller said it look as if dogs had attacked the animal. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies quarantined one dog and issued citations.

Animal complaint
A Hamann Avenue told authorities that a neighbor’s dogs were loose in the caller’s front yard after chewing their way out of a kennel. The animals were barking and running out onto the street.

Suspicious activity
A Pipe Creek business owner reported seeing a group of people hanging around near his establishment with flashlights. Responding Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies found nothing suspicious.

A U.S. Highway 2 resident heard several shots near his home. Responding law enforcement personnel reported the area was quiet.

A Rock Lake Road resident told authorities that she heard someone rustling through her porch freezer.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Lewis Loop for a report of an argument.

Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at Voves Avenue after a man reported that a woman at his home was making threats.
3 a.m.
Traffic stop
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited a motorist after the driver allegedly tossed a lit object onto the roadway near Mineral Avenue. The motorist received citations for failure to show proof of insurance, throwing a lit object and failure to carry a driver’s license.

A Badger Trail resident told authorities his wife assaulted him after coming home.

A caller told authorities that a man, possibly intoxicated, was wandering around her camper at a Troy campground.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies headed to Farm to Market Road after receiving a phone call from a crying woman, reporting that her parents were fighting.

A White Avenue resident awoke to find one or more individuals had broken into her car overnight and stolen her wallet.

A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported that his .45 was taken from his vehicle sometime during the night.

A caller reported trying to give away her cats and getting grilled by an older woman, who was asking many personal questions about the felines.

Criminal trespass
Libby police officers investigated a possible homeless encampment near Crotteau Road. Investigators determined the camp had been abandoned, but a dead coyote was left hanging in a tree.

Criminal trespass
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 5th Street Extension for a report of a transient camped out in a pickup truck on private property. Authorities initially cleared the scene and deemed the truck abandoned. But they later learned the truck was up and running, and the motorist was driving it around the area. Deputies launched a search for the vehicle.

Troy dispatchers reported that a woman was trespassing on property and taking items that did not belong to her.

Harassment, threat, intimidation
Libby police officers responded to Michigan Avenue after a resident told authorities that her neighbor was yelling and threatening her. Officers spoke with both individuals.

Libby police officers investigated the theft of a wallet and purse near a local lodging house.

Animal complaint
A Conifer Road resident told authorities that two dogs chased her twice while riding her bicycle. The dogs are always on the loose, she said.

A Cherub Lake Road homeowner found that one or more individuals had pried the lock off of her storage shed. She told authorities that several items were missing. She did not know when it occurred.

Libby police officers investigated a report of one or more individuals taking photographs of a city resident from their vehicle.

A Reese Court resident reported hearing a gunshot near her home.

Motor vehicle theft
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Richard Michalies, 52, on an Idaho felony warrant and for being in possession of a stolen vehicle. Authorities were alerted to the man after a caller reported giving him a ride to his car. The caller said he appeared to be abusing substances and had let slip that his vehicle was stolen. Deputies caught up to Michalies after his car ran off the road and into a ditch.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a U.S. Highway 2 home after receiving a report that an individual there was attacked by his dogs and then assaulted by his wife.

A Tamarack Lane resident told authorities that a man in a green car constantly parked in front of her home, blaring music.

Harassment, threat, intimidation
A Dakota Avenue resident asked to speak with authorities regarding her ex, who she said was constantly calling and harassing her. She started receiving other harassing texts and calls after she blocked his numbers.

Suspicious person
A Backcountry Lane resident told authorities that someone knocked on her door. The individual had a flashlight or possibly a headlamp. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies found several men in the area.
