NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD Notice is hereby given that Lincoln County will open a 45-day comment period on proposed projects under Title III of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act. Eligible projects under Title III include FireWise Communities program activities, reimbursement of county costs for emergency services performed on federal lands, training and equipment purchases directly related to emergency services paid for by the county and performed on federal land, and development of Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs). Lincoln County has identified several projects that meet these eligibility requirements. They include continued development of FireWise Community programs and a revision of the Lincoln County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). These projects include landowner and public education, applying FireWise strategies to private property including implementing fuels reduction work. Other projects and funding uses are development of the county webpage and other information related to FireWise programs, and reimbursement of costs incurred by county emergency services performed on federal land. RECEIVING WATER: Class I ground water PERMIT NUMBER: MTX000194 A determination has been made by DEQ to reissue a Montana Ground Water Pollution Control System (MGWPCS) permit, MTX000194, to the Wilderness Club for the Wilderness Club Wastewater Treatment Facility. This permitting action authorizes discharge of treated wastewater to ground water. The scope of this permitting action is for the operation and maintenance of the existing wastewater treatment and disposal system. This renewal is for a 5-year period for the continued operation of a Level 2 recirculating sand filter wastewater treatment system. Wilderness Club is a private residential resort which includes a golf course, horse-back riding, a spa, water park and exercise center, a club house, bar and restaurant that occupies 550 acres. The maximum design flow for this facility is 96,650 gallons per day. DEQ recognizes that in comparison to conventional septic treatment, the Level 2 treatment system may provide a higher level of treatment for nutrients and pathogens. The facility utilizes a multi-zone pressure dosed subsurface drainfield (Outfall 001) to discharge treated wastewater. The discharge structure's location is: Northwest 1/4 of Section 32, Township 37 N, Range 27 W, Lincoln County.
