Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a state Highway 37 residence after a caller told authorities her husband had begun yelling and throwing items after consuming alcohol.
1:08 a.m.
Disturbance
A man called authorities and reported a neighbor for playing loud music at all hours. The caller declined to give his name or location and could not specify what neighbor was behind the noise.
8:06 a.m.
Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance on Western Drive.
9:30 a.m.
Suspicious vehicle
A Lost Treasure Road resident reported hearing a vehicle racing about the evening prior. When morning broke, the resident found a car abandoned in a ditch off the road. The owner of the car’s mother later told authorities that her son had blown a tire and they were headed to the scene to repair and remove the vehicle.

Theft
A Forest Drive landlord accused his tenant of stealing and requested that law enforcement personnel search her property.

Public safety
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a child sitting along U.S. Highway 2 with his feet stuck out into traffic.
2:17 p.m.
Scam
A Main Street resident told Libby police officers that she was awoken by a phone call from an 800 number and the voice on the other end of the line told her to pay $36,000 within eight hours.
3:22 p.m.
Fish and game
Authorities responded to a report of a dead buck along U.S. Highway 2 near Indian Head Road. The carcass was missing its horns.
6:20 p.m.
911 call
A caller situated at the intersection of 2nd Street and California Avenue requested an escort to get to the local hospital.
7:52 p.m.
Disturbance
Libby police officers responded to the 500 block of Nevada Avenue for a report of an argument between relatives.
10:03 p.m.
Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Forest Drive for a report of a possible underage party.
April 18
7:35 a.m.
Traffic accident
Authorities and first responders were called to Jennings Haul Road for a traffic accident with several injuries.
9:21 a.m.
Suspicious person
A U.S. Highway 2 resident told authorities that a man was standing in her driveway, carrying a pipe and a cable. She said the man began throwing objects onto the roadway after trying unsuccessfully to get inside her gate. He later took off his shirt and began acting “quite agitated.”
12:24 p.m.
Civil complaint
A Quartz Road resident told authorities he believed his soon-to-be ex-wife was at his home while he was away, likely stealing property.
12:40 p.m.
Suspicious vehicle
Libby police officers investigated a report of a vehicle parked behind a locked gate near Flower Creek Dam.
1:12 p.m.
Harassment, threat, intimidation
A Rustic Road resident reported receiving multiple Facebook requests from two individuals.

Animal complaint
A Spencer Road Extension resident reported a dog on the loose.

Disturbance
A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy spoke with a Dicken Road resident about his 15-year-old son.

Harassment, threat, intimidation
A Three Corners Road resident reported that a man drove through the mobile home park and “cackled at him” while shooting a weapon. Upon further reflection, the caller told authorities he did not see a weapon. He conceded the noise might have been caused by fireworks.

Criminal mischief
Libby police officers investigated a hole left in the security fence surrounding the city’s water treatment plant. The hole is described as large enough “for a small person to fit” through.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Douglas Hill Road to help slow traffic.

Public safety
A motorist traveling along U.S. Highway 2 told authorities that a law enforcement officer nearly drove him off the road. The motorist reported taking evasive action to get out of the way.

Criminal trespass
Libby police officers found a man near the loading dock of a local thrift store. The man denied taking anything from the dock, police said.

A caller reported finding a dead bald eagle.

Libby police officers responded to a report of a man causing a disturbance on Louisiana Avenue.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an all-terrain vehicle accident near Dalberg Siding Road.

Theft
A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported the theft of a 21 speed Schwinn Sidewinder.

Suspicious vehicle
A caller reported an unusual vehicle located near Houghton Creek Road.

Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Mitchell Williams, 32, for allegedly driving under the influence. Deputies arrived to Rustic Avenue following a report of neighbors fighting. One man allegedly threatened to ram another individual’s vehicle, but later took off on foot after his automobile was stopped in a nearby alleyway.
