Public assistance

8:19 a.m.

A Farm to Market Road resident requested help from law enforcement in removing a man from the house. The man had become verbally abusive after drinking alcohol. The resident later called to say the man had left the premises.

10:05 a.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Daniel Knapp on a partner or family member assault charge after responding to a disturbance on Florence Road. Authorities initially received a 911 call regarding an argument. A man was heard on the line saying he “would burn the house down.”

10:43 a.m.

Ambulance call

First responders treated a man suffering an axe cut to the leg.

11:44 a.m.

Public assistance

A Panoramic View Drive resident received an email from neighbors about being loud and disruptive. The resident told authorities he was worried that by confronting the neighbors he may have escalated the situation and wanted advice on how to proceed.

2:49 p.m.

Traffic accident

First responders arrived at Quartz Creek Road for a report of an all terrain vehicle accident.

4:19 p.m.

Theft

A Park Street resident told authorities an individual had entered their trailer and taken personal property. A vehicle likewise was removed from the scene.

4:25 p.m.

Disturbance

A Three Corners Road resident reported her neighbors for arguing. The couple keeps coming over to her property despite her repeatedly sending them away, she told authorities.

6:09 p.m.

Public assistance

A U.S. Highway 2 resident requested help with her husband. He had fallen off the back of a riding lawn mower. Though he was uninjured, she could not get him off the ground.

6:36 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle

A caller reported a vehicle tucked behind trees near Pioneer Park. Responding Libby Police officers reported the scene clear.

7:48 p.m.

Criminal trespass

An East Spruce Street resident asked to speak with a Libby Police officer regarding her ex-partner coming onto her property.

10:15 p.m.

Traffic violation

A Griffin Road resident reported a white vehicle speeding through the neighborhood, potentially endangering children who play in the area.

11:14 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle

An employee at a local convenience store told authorities that several men inside a vehicle parked near her worksite were making her uncomfortable. The vehicle left the area as Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived.

11:39 p.m.

Suspicious activity

A caller in Eureka reported an individual repeatedly returning to the location despite being told to leave.

11:58 p.m.

Public assistance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies cleared out a motorist parked at Riverfront Park.

May 17

2:14 a.m.

City ordinance violation

Libby Police officers escorted two juveniles home from the intersection of 3rd Street and California Avenue. They were given a warning for a curfew violation.

12:33 p.m.

Child custody

A father told Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies that when he arrived to pick up his daughter, he found that she had been left by her mother in the custody of two men.

12:39 p.m.

Disturbance

A Park Street woman told authorities that a man came into her home the night prior, took her phone and attempted to take her dog.

3:47 p.m.

Public assistance

A caller asked authorities to check in on her mother. She had heard that her mother’s husband had assaulted her. She told Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies that she was unable to reach her mother.

4:11 p.m.

Public safety

A mother reported her son for possibly driving under the influence. The man left the house with two kids.

7:44 p.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a juvenile on a charge of partner or family member assault.

8:22 p.m.

Disturbance

A Prairie Drive resident reported an individual using firearms near her home. Responding Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies determined the individual was shooting in a safe manner.

8:52 p.m.

Disturbance

Libby Police officers responded to a West Larch Street home after a woman seeking to recover her personal property was barred from her ex-partner’s home. The woman told authorities the ex pushed her out of the door. Officers later transported a woman to a friend’s home.

9:05 p.m.

Traffic violation

A motorist reported another driver for first brake-checking him and later trying to hit him when he attempted to pass on U.S. Highway 2.

10:10 p.m.

Criminal trespass

A Park Street resident told authorities a woman came into his house and threw his dinner onto the floor.
