FWP seeks new volunteers
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking to fill several volunteer positions in a general advisory committee based in northwestern Montana.
The Montana Region 1 Citizen Advisory Committee provides input to the FWP on issues including wildlife and fisheries management, state parks, outdoor recreation and law enforcement. The committee also helps the FWP identify emerging issues and assists the FWP in creating ideas on regional and statewide issues.
The committee typically meets in Kalispell five to seven evenings a year. Members serve three-year terms and are provided with meals and travel expenses.
Anyone with an interest in natural resource issues and outdoor recreation is encouraged by FWP to apply.
Residents can find an application online or can contact the FWP at 406-751-4564. Applications must be received by the FWP by August 11.
Applicants must live in FWP Region 1 which includes Lincoln County.
