Suspicious activity

A Eureka-area resident reported hearing what sounded like two people having sex underneath a trailer.

9:47 a.m.

Animal complaint

Authorities responded to West Cedar Street for a report of two dogs chasing and attacking deer. The dogs were captured and taken to the animal shelter. Authorities later warned the animals’ owner.

11:44 a.m.

Criminal trespass

A caller alerted Libby police officers to a woman trespassing and panhandling near a local fitness studio.

12:03 p.m.

Public safety

A caller reported reckless driver near Louisiana Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard. The motorist was in a blue pickup truck adorned with flags and taking corners “irresponsibly.”

Criminal mischief

Libby police officers responded to a local automobile dealer after vandals struck a vehicle left at the site for mechanical work.

1:31 p.m.

Missing person

First responders searched the Bobtail Ridge area for a potentially lost hunter. It had been two hours or more since the hunter was last in contact. The individual boasted outdoors experience, but was not dressed for an extended stay in the wilderness. The man turned up OK.

Motor vehicle theft

A riding lawnmower was reported stolen from Granite Avenue.

City ordinance violation

Libby police officers responded to a city ordinance violation on East 6th Street.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Elijah Drive after a resident’s intoxicated neighbor began yelling and making threats.

Suspicious activity

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies headed to a U.S. Highway 2 business near Libby after a caller spotted two individuals trying to open the store’s doors.

11:5 p.m.

Disturbance

An employee of a local lodging house asked for law enforcement assistance in removing customers from a room. The couple was fighting and arguing with other lodgers. The pair, along with their children, agreed to leave after Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on scene.

Suspicious activity

An individual at the Libby train station reported hearing strange noises coming from the women’s bathroom. Libby police officers asked the woman inside the restroom to move along.

Nov. 14

7:21 a.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a woman screaming and slamming doors.

3:29 p.m.

Drugs, drug paraphernalia

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a drug case.

3:40 p.m.

Theft

A hunter near Jackson Creek told authorities that an unknown individual had broken into his vehicle and stolen his firearm. The hunter later called back to say he found the weapon.

Animal complaint

A caller reported spotting an old bus or mobile home parked within city limits. The caller was concerned about two dogs tied up to the vehicle. Responding Libby police officers were unable to find the vehicle.

A Holly Drive resident asked for law enforcement’s help in regards to a woman squatting on private property.

Libby police officers responded to a Mineral Avenue business after receiving a report about a woman rifling through objects left near the rear door.

A Farm to Market Road resident reported poaching near his home.

Authorities received a report regarding a stolen license plate.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies asked two individuals to leave a local gas station after determining that they were loitering.

A caller reported spotting two individuals stealing from a downtown Libby loading dock.

An anonymous tipster report several pygmy goats left without food, water or shelter near mile marker 30 of U.S. Highway 2.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A caller asked to speak with a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy about an incident that happened at a rental property involving several ex-tenants.

A Louisiana Avenue resident reported finding an injured cat near his home.

Libby police officers investigated a report of a young man sitting on a pillar on private property.

A caller told Libby police officers that the son of a resident at an assisted living facility was harassing the staff.

A woman reported getting threatened by her brother-in-law.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies received second-hand information regarding tampering with a propane tank.

A Lake Creek Road resident reported seeing German shepherds chasing deer in the area.

A woman reported that a man had violated a temporary restraining order by stalking her and making threats.
