| December 11, 2020 7:00 AM

Geraldine “Gerry” Lavon St. Onge, 83, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at home Dec. 1, 2020, with her husband by her side, holding her hand.

A celebration of her life was held at the Libby Christian Church on Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. She was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Flint, Mich., to Karl and Violet Story.

Gerry met Calvin while he worked a seasonal job in Flint. They were married Feb. 5, 1957. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Libby, where they raised their family of six children.

Cal worked as a logger while Gerry was a mother and homemaker. Her interests included family, friends, sewing, crafts, oil painting, camping, wildlife and bird watching. Yahtzee was a game she enjoyed with her friends. After retirement, Cal and Gerry moved to McGinnis Meadows, where Cal grew up. They enjoyed living there for more than 20 years.

Gerry was an active member of the Libby Christian Church. She was passionate about sharing her love of God with people that she met. She wanted everyone to have the same assurance to be in heaven as she had. John 3:16

Gerry is survived by her husband of 63 years, Calvin St. Onge; her sister, Carolyn Zay Story; four sons, two daughters and their spouses: Michael St. Onge, Patrick (Naomi Thornton) St. Onge, Molly (Bud) Price, Calvin Paul St. Onge, Cindy (Terry) Zoutte, and Millard (Donna) St. Onge; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband Cal was the love of her life. The extended family and loving friends brought joy to her days.

Thank you for sharing this celebration of her life with the St. Onge family.
