A school employee in Troy told authorities that a minor reported a drug manufacturing operation.

An employee of a local medical facility reported suspicious activity involving a patient and their neighbors that occurred several weeks prior.

Assault
A caller reported spotting a fight between two men at a local supermarket. The men later appeared to be talking and laughing with one another, the caller told Libby police officers.

Public safety
An individual on Forest Drive asked for a welfare check after coming across a woman lying outside in the rain. Upon questioning, the woman said she was fine and enjoying nature.

Suspicious vehicle
A caller reported a vehicle parked behind a Mineral Avenue merchant for about 10 minutes.

Theft
Libby police officers headed to a thrift shop for a report of an individual digging in trash bins. Officers warned the individual to stay out of the bins.
8:22 a.m.
Firearms
Flathead County authorities advised the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office about an ER patient from Trego suffering from a gunshot wound.
9:29 a.m.
Animal complaint
A caller reported seeing a dog get struck by a train in Libby.
10:43 a.m.
Animal complaint
A caller reported several dogs left in a neighboring U.S. Highway 2 home for several days. The animals were starting to break down the door, the caller said. A second individual later phoned authorities, telling them the dogs were out and running on the street. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies unsuccessfully tried to track the owner down. The dog owner’s last known landlord thought the tenant had moved in with a new boyfriend in Kalispell.

Suspicious activity
A grandmother told authorities that a juvenile was making unwanted advances at her granddaughters.

Animal complaint
A caller reported a malnourished husky left on a heavy chain near Forest Drive.

Unattended death
Authorities responded to Forest Drive for a report of an unattended death.
5:53 p.m.
Public safety
Montana Highway Patrol was alerted after a motorist spotted a truck traveling down U.S. Highway 2 without lights. Passersby had attempted to warn the driver, but to no avail.

Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies headed to Terriault Creek Road after a woan reported that her husband, who had been drinking, was arguing with her.

Public safety
A caller informed Libby police officers that his brother, an out-of-state offender, is in town and attempting to contact their mother. The brother has a history of violence against his mother. The caller also expressed concern for the safety of the general public.

Motor vehicle theft
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a motor vehicle theft on Terning Drive.
10:40 a.m.
Disturbance
Libby police officers were summoned to the Lincoln County Courthouse for a report of a man standing outside and yelling. He appeared to be angry.

Public safety
Authorities received word of an individual potentially hunting in an unsafe manner.
4:03 p.m.
City ordinance violation
Libby police officers warned a man for camping in Firemans Park.
5:17 p.m.
Theft
A Holly Drive property owner reported a burglary. The woman told investigators the home had been ransacked and the stove was stolen. It had been more than a year since the property owner visited the house.

An individual reported that the outlet at Miller Lake Dam was blocked with debris.

Missing person
First responders searched overnight for a missing hunter near the Flagstaff Mountain trailhead. The man was found, reportedly dehydrated, but otherwise OK.

Animal complaint
A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported finding a black cow in her pasture. She did not know who owned the animal.

Property
A caller reported finding a pistol near Cedar Meadow Road and U.S. Highway 2.

Disturbance
A caller reported getting run off the road by another hunter.
10:24 p.m.
Assault
A Farm to Market Road resident told authorities that a friend had assaulted her husband. Responding Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies detained one man and took him home.

A woman reported the theft of her dog.

Public assistance
First responders mounted a search for a missing hunter near Yaak River Road. A search and rescue team found the man later that morning. He was responsive and given a ride back to his vehicle.
5:45 a.m.
Burglary
Libby police officers were heading to Dakota Avenue for a reported overnight burglary when the resident called back and told authorities that they had found the items they thought were missing.
10:14 a.m.
Burglary
A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported that an unknown individual broke into his shed overnight and stolen a computer.

Theft
An employee of a local store told Libby police officers that a man had convinced a cashier to give him a gift card without returning an item.
12:30 p.m.
Theft
Libby police officers responded to a local store and cited an individual for theft.
4:38 p.m.
Firearms
A caller reported illegal hunting near Farm to Market Road. The individual allegedly was using a high-powered rifle behind a residential area. Local authorities passed the case off to U.S. Fish and Game.

Assault
A caller asked to speak with a Libby police officer after a man confronted him at a local gas station and attempted to hit him with a vehicle.

Criminal trespass
Libby police officers responded to a local gas station for a report of a woman loitering in the area. The woman had previously been trespassed from the station.
