Assault

A caller reported an incident several weeks prior wherein her boyfriend kicked her hand and broke it.

Motor vehicle theft

The employee of a local automobile dealership reported the theft of a travel trailer from the lot.

2:30 p.m.

Criminal trespass

A state Highway 37 resident reported spotting trespassers the night prior. The resident suspected the trespassers were going after items in a boat shed. The resident agreed to put up game cameras.

Theft

A supermarket employee in Libby reported a shoplifter. Libby police officers were unable to locate the suspect.

Libby police officers responded to a local supermarket for a report of a theft.

7:50 p.m.

Disturbance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at Kootenai Vista Road after a caller reported hearing a couple down the street screaming at one another and at a child.

Restraining order violation

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Michael Higgan Bothman, 62, on a temporary restraining order violation near Grace Lane.

8:20 p.m.

Disturbance

A Leisure Lane resident phoned authorities, saying that a man at her home was refusing to leave, but later changed her mind. As Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies headed to the scene, the woman grew defensive on the phone. The couple ultimately made up.

Fire

BNSF employees spotted two small fires near a railroad marker on Fisher River Road.

Drugs, drug paraphernalia

Authorities investigated a drug case on Granite Avenue.

Agency assistance

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted U.S. Fish and Game in trying to locate a person shooting firearms near a residential neighborhood along Bobtail Road.

Public assistance

A woman walked into the Libby Police Department and asked to speak with an officer about her sons doing “bad things.”

Theft

A caller reported the theft of building materials overnight from Commerce Way.

4:05 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A Manier Road resident told authorities that her neighbor sped past her house, but not before revving their engine and spinning the tires outside of the home.

Ambulance call

First responders transported two individuals, one a 7-year-old child, to a local medical center after they were struck by a vehicle in the crosswalk on Mineral Avenue.

4:58 p.m.

Suspicious person

A 911 caller told authorities he found a man on the front porch of his Upper Ford Road home. The man was no rolling on the ground. Previously, the man told him someone had taken his son.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

Libby police officers responded to Wisconsin Avenue after a caller reported getting harassed while trick or treating.

A Pioneer Road resident asked to speak with law enforcement personnel regarding his neighbor’s dog. It constantly rushed and attacked him.

Criminal mischief

A motorist told authorities that an unknown individual broke the mirror on his truck while it was parked along California Avenue.

A Lewis Loop resident reported getting assaulted by a friend.

12:51 a.m.

Suspicious person

A caller told authorities a cyclist crashed along Farm to Market Road. The man was now in the middle of the road, screaming.

Animal complaint

A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported hearing dogs barking inside a neighbor’s home. The neighbor had been gone for the better part of a week.

Civil complaint

A man asked for law enforcement’s help in retrieving items from a home he was asked to leave.

Suspicious activity

A Forest Drive resident reported finding the wires to his four-wheeler cut.

Animal complaint

A Farm to Market Road resident told authorities that neighborhood dogs attacked her canine while they were on a walk.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

A West Cedar Street resident reported getting threatened with a gun while confronting a man.

Disturbance

A state Highway 37 resident told authorities that her neighbor yells and screams in a nearby park periodically.

Public safety

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies warned two pedestrians to walk well away from state Highway 37. Deputies approached the pair after receiving a report of several men walking on the highway in dark clothing near mile marker five.

Suspicious activity

Libby police officers were called to a local gas station for a report of an individual returning to the property after being trespassed. Officers later learned it was a case of mistaken identity.

Public safety

A caller reported a possible drunk driving heading into Libby. The caller said that the man smelled heavily of alcohol when he stopped at a nearby gas station.

Suspicious person

An Amber Road resident reported a woman sleeping in a vehicle parked in her driveway. She later learned it was her daughter.

8:01 a.m.

Fire

Libby Volunteer Fire Department crews responded to a fully involved motor vehicle fire along U.S. Highway 2.

10:02 a.m.

Criminal trespass

A Weasel Creek Estate resident told authorities that a man was again dumping waste on his property. This time, the resident had captured license plates using a game camera.

Criminal trespass

A caller asked to file a report with the Libby Police Department and trespass a disgruntled employee.

3:41 p.m.

Disturbance

Libby police officers headed to U.S. Highway 2 for a report of a fight between a man and woman along the roadway.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at Forest Drive for a report of an argument between two men.

Assault

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jared Covey, 40, on a charge of partner or family member assault. Deputies arrived at Voves Avenue after a caller reported her brother-in-law assaulting her sister.

Civil complaint

A caller reported spotting several hunters drinking alcohol and shooting firearms.

Authorities met with a man after his wife removed his property from their house and locked him out.

Traffic stop

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Robyn Skillman, 31, for driving under the influence, second offense, after a traffic stop on Farm to Market Road.

Authorities investigated a cougar sighting.

A motorist told Libby police officers that another driver pulled out in front of her, got out and yelled at her for not paying attention.

Libby police officers responded to a local doctor’s office for a report of an individual standing outside with what appeared to be lock picks. An employee cleared the issue up for responding officers.

A Bull Lake Road resident reported the theft of three chainsaws.

A caller reported a man stealing items off the loading dock of a Libby business.

A Libby resident contacted authorities regarding a truck that had been left parked by the intersection of Larch Street and Montana Avenue for three nights.
