Disturbance

A 911 caller reported a fight between a couple on Bowker Street. Responding Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies separated the pair.

Disturbance

Libby police officers responded to Montana Avenue after receiving a report of a disturbance. Officers separated the individuals involved.

1:24 p.m.

Scam

An Indian Head Road resident reported receiving a phone call from a scammer. The caller told the woman she had won a large sum of money.

Criminal mischief

A caller told authorities an unknown individual had punctured his tires.

5:32 p.m.

Suspicious vehicle

A caller reported seeing a small, black vehicle in the Autumn Road area each day. He thought it was a younger couple in the vehicle.

Libby police officers investigated a shattered vehicle window on Lolo Avenue.

Traffic violation

A West 10th Street resident told Libby police officers that at some point in the evening, a motorist drove over the street curb, struck his fence and hit a propane tank.

Burglary

Libby police officers investigated a burglary on Dakota Avenue. The homeowner told authorities an unknown individual broke into the house overnight and stole his medication.

Fish and game

An East 8th Street resident came across a hostile doe protecting a dead fawn.

Suspicious activity

Libby police officers investigated suspicious activity near a fast casual restaurant.

11:41 a.m.

Burglary

Libby police officers investigated a burglary on Montana Avenue.

Theft

A Florence Road resident reported the theft of a political sign.

Fire

Authorities received a report of a fire near Lower Thompson Lake.

Harassment, threat, intimidation

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies took a report of harassment, threats or intimidation.

Theft

Libby police officers responded to a Mineral Avenue business for a report of a man taking items from a loading dock.

Suspicious activity

Libby police officers headed to Reese Court for a report of an individual banging on the windows of a home, scaring the children inside.

Public assistance

Members of a local veteran’s organization asked for law enforcement personnel after noticing an individual laying in a smoking shack for several hours. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies determined it was a woman waiting for a train. She was dressed warmly. Organization officials told deputies it was OK for the woman to stay there.

Animal complaint

A man walked into the North Lincoln County Law Enforcement Center and asked for information about putting a dog down. The man told authorities that he has a “vicious” dog and it has bitten his wife and son. When authorities recommended speaking to a veterinarian, the man said he would take care of it himself.

Animal complaint

A Montana Avenue resident reported a barking and howling dog. Authorities contacted the pet owner.

1:50 a.m.

Unattended death

Authorities responded to a report of an unattended death.

6:54 a.m.

Suspicious person

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies gave a woman a ride home after responding to a suspicious person call on Iron Creek Road. The caller reported spotting a woman trying get inside a vehicle on a neighbor’s property.

Public assistance

A woman called authorities asking for help in convincing her son to come home from a friend’s house.

12:41 p.m.

Assault

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated an assault case.

Scam

A Conifer Road resident reported getting a scam call.

Animal complaint

A Callahan Creek Road resident told authorities that a neighbor’s canine attacked his dog.

Drugs, drug paraphernalia

Libby police officers had a vehicle towed from the intersection of Utah Avenue and Cedar Street while investigating a drug case.

Unattended death

Authorities responded to an unattended death on River Drive.

Suspicious person

Authorities investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on a U.S. Forest Service Road near Ferrel Flats. The motorist had put up sheets over the vehicle’s windows.

Scam

A City Service Road resident reported receiving a scam call from an individual who had their personal information.

8:36 a.m.

Fish and game

A caller reported a hit-and-run accident involving an elk near mile marker 4 of state Highway 37. The animal survived and a passerby moved it to the side of the road. Responding authorities determined it was a mule deer.

11:01 a.m.

Civil complaint

A Swanson Lodge Road resident reported an ongoing issue with a neighbor.

12:30 p.m.

Public assistance

A caller requested authorities perform a welfare check on a friend. The woman allegedly suffered abuse at the hands of her son and lived in squalid conditions.

1:46 p.m.

Criminal trespass

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies headed to River Run Lane after a property owner reported that a motorist had parked on her land for about five minutes. The motorist drove off upon being asked to leave.

3:52 p.m.

Animal complaint

A caller reported a missing horse.

5:18 p.m.

Fish and game

A caller in the Eureka area reported mountain sheep hanging out above their residence. Authorities attempted to reroute the animals.

6:35 p.m.

Theft

A Spencer Road resident told authorities that his father took a deer head from his home. The deer head was later returned, but the resident asked to trespass his father.

8:32 p.m.

Fire

Libby Volunteer Fire Department crews responded to Farm To Market Road for a structure fire.
