Fire
Libby Volunteer Fire Department crews responded to the parking lot of a local business for a report of a blaze.
4:31 p.m.
Suspicious person
Libby police officers responded to Fireman’s Park for a report of a “scruffy” man attempting coax young children.
5:13 p.m.
Suspicious activity
A Dreamcatcher Road resident told Eureka dispatchers that they heard gunshots near their home the night prior.
5:23 p.m.
Fire
Libby Volunteer Fire Department crews responded to a report of a spot fire near the old mill site.
6:01 p.m.
Traffic accident
Multiple agencies responded to a vehicle rollover near Happy’s Inn.
7:01 p.m.
Motor vehicle theft
A motorist reported the theft of a motor vehicle from a local restaurant. Authorities later located the vehicle.
9:04 p.m.
Disturbance
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Kootenai River Road for a report of a woman arguing and throwing objects. Authorities separated the individuals involved in the disturbance.
9:33 p.m.
Harassment, threat, intimidation
A Missoula County resident alerted authorities in Lincoln County to a local man making threats on social media. The resident engaged in a discussion with the other individual online “and things went south.” The resident found the resulting comments “disconcerting and worrying.”
July 18
12:27 a.m.
Suspicious activity
Libby police officers detained a man and a woman after responding to a report of a woman with a gun at a local gas station causing a disturbance. According to the person who called 911, the woman threatened another individual.
1:33 a.m.
Suspicious vehicle
Libby police officers arrested Michael James Anderson on driving under the influence charges after receiving a report of a possibly intoxicated motorist.
8:53 a.m.
Fire
A caller reported seeing dust smoking near the Lincoln County Port Authority.
10:55 a.m.
Fire
Fire crews were dispatched to Park Street for a report of a blaze.
12:42 p.m.
Ambulance call
First responders descended upon the Leigh Lake Trail for a report of an injured hiker. Search and rescue teams found a woman with a leg injury. A belt was used as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The woman was conscious and coherent as first responders took her to a local hospital.
1:19 p.m.
Animal complaint
The staff at a local medical facility reported an animal bite.
5:04 p.m.
Fire
Authorities responded to a boat fire near Dorr Skeels campground. The boat was on the ramp when it caught fire and soon became fully engulfed.
6:33 p.m.
Harassment, threat, intimidation
A Farm to Market resident reported receiving harassing phone calls.
7:19 p.m.
Civil complaint
Two individuals in Troy asked to speak with law enforcement personnel regarding being evicted.
9:18 p.m.

A caller asked to speak with a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy regarding a man making threats to harm her.

Suspicious activity
A Commerce Way resident reported damage to her door lock.
July 19
4:02 a.m.
Disturbance
The staff of a local emergency room contacted Libby police officers to ask for help with an uncooperative and “highly intoxicated” woman.
11:05 a.m.
Runaway
A Eureka resident called to file a runaway report on her 15-year-old daughter. The girl left home in late July. The woman told authorities she thought her daughter “would come to her senses” after a little time passed. Instead, the woman received a call from police in Kalispell alerting her that the teenager was picked up for shoplifting in that city. The girl had since made her way back to a friend’s house in Eureka. Now that it was clear “her daughter is unable to make the right decisions,” the woman wanted her reported as a runaway.
11:10 a.m.
Civil complaint
A caller reported that an ex-partner had committed identity theft.
12:16 p.m.
Ambulance call
A guest at a local motel reported vomiting and requested an ambulance. He told authorities he was exposed to COVID-19. The caller later told authorities he would attempt to care for himself and go to the emergency room if conditions worsened.
1:48 p.m.
Suspicious person
A Bighorn Way resident reported a motorist parked in a neighbor’s yard for watching her children play nude in the backyard. The caller told authorities she confronted the motorist and he was using his mobile phone.
2:46 p.m.
Disturbance
A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported a neighbor for attempting to trap her cats and also filming her home. At about 2:50 p.m., the neighbor phoned authorities to report the first caller for attempting to film him setting traps for cats. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies spoke with all individuals involved.
6:55 p.m.
Harassment, threat, intimidation
A U.S. Highway 2 resident reported that a man he is having trouble with his now driving past his home and sending him text messages.
10:25 p.m.
Animal complaint
A Three Corner Road resident asked to speak with a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy regarding her neighbor’s dogs barking and running loose. The landlord had refused to handle the situation, she said.
