One injured during afternoon camper fire

The Libby Volunteer Fire Department quickly extinguished an afternoon fire Thursday in a small camper behind a residence on Billedeau Road in Lincoln County.

A man said to be living in the trailer was transported from the scene by ambulance after he apparently suffered smoke inhalation while attempting to put out the blaze before firefighters arrived.

The man reportedly told firefighters he was living in the camper because the house contained mold.

Fire Chief Tom Wood said the fire remains under investigation.
