Libby Loggers hammer Browning, 35-12
The Libby Loggers football team improved to 2-0 last week with a 35-12 win on the road at Browning.
Jeff Offenbecher threw for 117 yards on 6 of 9 passing and two TDs while teammate Jay Beagle threw for 86 yards on 7 of 9 passing and one pick.
Junior running back Dawson Young had a big game with two TDs while running 25 times for 100 yards. Offenbecher added 29 yards on nine runs.
Chandler Bower led the receiving corp with 95 yards on four catches and one TD.
Beagle added 45 yards on two catches. David Patterson had four grabs for 28 yards and one TD.
Senior Luke Foreman led the Loggers with 13 tackles, while Offenbecher, Bower and Foreman each intercepted a pass. Ryker McElmurry broke up three passes.
Also, Bower made all three of his PAT kicks.
The Loggers host Ronan at 7 p.m. Friday.
For the Troy Trojans, they fell to defending state champ Flint Creek, 68-20.
Quarterback Terren Winebark led Troy with 156 yards, two TDs and one interception on 12 of 28 passing. He also ran for 30 yards on four carries and one TD. Defensively, he had an interception.
Kolton had two catches for 59 yards and had a 49-yard run. Dylan Peterson had 66 yards on three catches while Ricki Fisher had 31 yards on seven receptions. Peterson and Lewis also scored TDs.
Troy (0-2) hosts Mission Friday.

The boys lost 10-0 and the firls lost 4-1.
Sept. 6, Troy girls volleyball dropped a match to Anaconda, 13-25, 10-25, 4-25.
