Animal complaint
Authorities received a call from a local veterinarian about what to do with a cat, nine months late on a rabies vaccination, that killed a bat a week earlier. The owners agreed to take the cat, which was undergoing surgery, to meet with a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy the next day. All that remained of the bat was a wing.

Criminal Trespass
Authorities responded to a report of a woman acting belligerently and refusing to leave an area motel. First responders transported her to the emergency room.
4:41 p.m.
Animal complaint
A caller reported that three dogs owned by a neighbor were in his Cecil Drive yard again. The dogs allegedly were aggressive and the caller told authorities he could not leave his house.

Animal complaint
A caller on Airport Road requested a sheriff’s deputy to silence noisy dogs that were keeping her awake.

Authorities investigated a report about possible drug activity near Spencer Hill Avenue.

A caller reported a stray cat hanging around her Nevada Avenue home.

Traffic accident
A motorist reported hitting a bear on mile marker four of U.S. Highway 2 the day prior. The accident left the vehicle with minor damage. The bear was unharmed.

Animal complaint
A caller wanted to speak with animal control regarding her lost dog. She was concerned the dog had been given away in an adoption.

Suspicious activity
Authorities responded to a report of a man dumping three- to five-gallon barrels of oil onto Butcher Creek Road.

Authorities arrested Casy McKeever, 39, for an alleged probation violation.

Disturbance
Authorities responded to a report of a disorderly man near Iowa Flats Road. First responders treated one man suffering from a cut above the eye.

1:29 a.m.
Authorities arrested Bruce Basham, 55, for allegedly driving under the influence near the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Lake Creek Road. Basham was charged with second offense driving under the influence.

Animal complaint
A caller reported two brown horses had escaped from his Bald Eagle Road home overnight.

Disturbance
Authorities arrested Brandon Lee Cooper for failure to appear on a no insurance charge after a report of a disturbance on Mill Road.

Authorities arrested Tawnie F. Erickson on a charge of partner or family member assault after a report of a disturbance on Mill Road

Authorities brought a dog found running loose on U.S. Highway 2 to the shelter.

A Haven Hill Lane resident reported being threatened by a neighbor for beeping his horn at a dog running loose.

A caller reported narcotic medications stolen from her Star Road home.

Authorities handled a report of several cows on the loose near U.S. Highway 93 around Roosville.

Authorities investigated a sighting of a black bear near Libby Elementary School.

Animal complaint
Caller reported finding a black bird with an injured wing near the National Guard Armory. Officials attempted to warn the caller against touching the bird, but the call was disconnected. A second caller reported that children had picked up the bird and were carrying it around in a laundry basket.

Traffic accident
Caller reported hitting a small deer near the intersection of 2nd Street and Montana Avenue. The accident left the vehicle with minimal damage and the deer was uninjured.

Hazmat, environment
Authorities responded to a report of a downstairs neighbor using marijuana. The caller said the smoke was intruding into her Commerce Way apartment.

Fish and game
Caller reported possible chronic wasting disease sighting near Cedar and Poplar streets. Authorities located several deer, but none were infected.

Caller reported his neighbors near Pioneer Road were feeding deer in the area.

Caller reported spotlighting deer on their Lakota Loop Road property.
