Betrayal of Kurds a treacherous act

Notwithstanding the complete absence of an iota of an ethical or moral compass, President Donald J. Trump has, in his “great and unmatched wisdom,” and against the advice of military experts, collaborated with Turkey’s dictator Recep Erdogan by withdrawing 1,000 U.S. troops from Syria. This ensures the slaughter of our Kurdish allies — including 320,000 Christian Kurds — in northern Syria (11,000 of whom have died fighting ISIS), thereby once again endangering the physical well being of the American people with the potential resurgence of an ISIS caliphate.

History will note this shameful, horrific and disastrous mark of Cain as it has for Vidkun Quisling, the founder of Norway’s Fascist Party, who, in December 1939, urged Adolf Hitler to occupy Norway (to be a “Quisling” is to be a traitor), and who was executed by Norway in 1945. A more infamous example was made by Neville Chamberlain at Munich in 1938, where he earned the historical moniker “the Great Appeaser” for allowing Hitler to occupy the western portion of Czechoslovakia known as the Sudetenland. His actions ultimately led to World War II.

One can’t help but be reminded of Winston Churchill’s admonishment to Chamberlain: “You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war.”
