Lady Loggers felled by Wildcats, Troy beaten by Mission
After losing the first two games, the Lady Loggers rallied in the third to win 25-19, but the hosts fell to the Columbia Falls Wildcats, 21-25,20-25,25-19,15-25.
The final match score doesn’t reflect the competitiveness displayed by the Loggers, said head coach Samantha Hannah.
“The Loggers are real competitors, and they proved that last night,” she said.
Hannah added that she’s proud of the team’s performance.
“Compared to the last match in Columbia Falls, we played 10 times better,” she said.
Overall, the Lady Loggers had 31 kills against the Wildcats and 49 digs.
McKenzie Proffitt led the Loggers with 11 kills, followed by Sheyla Gallagher with 6 kills. Ashlyn Monigold was the dig leader with 18 for the match.
Proffitt had a stellar service game — she contributed half of the 10 aces for the night.
Kylee Quinn finished with 25 of the 26 set assists for the match.
The Lady Loggers hit the road tonight to play at Ronan.

In other Lincoln County volleyball action, Mission beat Troy 3-0. The match scores were 25-22, 25-21 and 25-11.
Mission improved to 4-1 and 9-3 while Troy fell to 1-5 and 1-13 overall.
