Libby Loggers run record to 5-0 after win over Polson

The Libby Loggers football team just kept rolling as it beat the Polson Pirates on the road Friday night, 45-6.

Libby (5-0) led 28-6 at the half as star running back Dawson Young ran for four touchdowns and 167 yards on 24 carries. Young has 709 yards and 13 touchdowns at the midway point of the regular season.

Ryker McElmurry and Aydan Williamson each had TD runs while kicker Chandler Bower had another strong performance, making all six point-after kicks and 36-yard field goal.

Quarterback Jeff Offenbecher ran for 114 yards on 17 carries

The Loggers defense only allowed a 70-yard TD pass to the Pirates.

Bower and McElmurry each had interceptions while Bower had a fumble recovery.

Libby hosts Butte Central Catholic at 7 p.m. Friday.
