Firefighters responded to a West 2nd Street establishment after receiving a report of a smoke alarm going off.

Scam

A 3 Corner Road resident reported receiving a social security scam call.

Suspicious activity

An individual reported adult abuse. No further information is available.

Traffic violation

Authorities responded to a report of a handicapped parking space violation on 9th Street.

Public assistance

Deputies agreed to look at a ticket a woman received from Canada and determine whether or not it is a scam.

Suspicious activity

Authorities investigated damage to a latch on a wooden fence on Michelle Lane.

An individual reported fleeing from a sex trafficking ring and worried that she may have been followed.

Public safety

An individual reported seeing a motorist run two red lights to pull into the parking lot of a Libby casual dining restaurant. Authorities spoke with the driver who claimed ignorance of the red traffic lights.

6:15 p.m.

Suspicious person

An individual reported a woman getting dropped off outside of a Libby dining establishment with two dogs and a couple of bags. The woman appeared to be waiting for a ride.

11:40 p.m.

Harassment, threat, intimidate

A Vicks Lane resident reported that an ex-partner was sending threatening and harassing texts, and the individual cannot block them because of parenting reasons.

1:25 a.m.

Property

A woman dropped off a phone she grabbed by mistake at a local watering hole. Authorities reunited the device with its original owner.

8:24 a.m.

Fish and game

A Lewis Loop Road resident reported an injured deer grazing in her yard.

10:40 a.m.

Animal complaint

A Northwood Avenue resident called to report experiencing trouble with their neighbor’s dogs again.

A Kootenai River Road resident called to report his neighbor’s dogs barking.

1:01 p.m.

Ambulance

Emergency responders received word of a man yelling for help in Troy. When they found him, he said that his hand had been stuck. He got free and will take himself to the hospital.

Harassment, threat, intimidate

A woman reported being harassed by her ex boyfriend.

Civil complaint

A Granite Avenue resident asked to talk to law enforcement about his sisters. He accused them of taking his belongings from their deceased mother’s house.

Fish and game

A Parmenter Avenue resident reported a deer with a broken leg in their backyard. Authorities dispatched the animal and dragged it to the curb before alerting the road crew.

Public assistance

A Nevada Avenue resident asked for a welfare check on her stepdaughter. The stepdaughter had missed a visit as agreed upon in their parenting plan. The resident was unable to reach her by phone. Authorities confirmed the stepdaughter was at a church retreat for the weekend.

Suspicious activity

Authorities investigated a report of a loud boom followed by sparks on Vanderwood Road. The caller also thought she saw an individual run by her window. Two neighbors confirmed the report.

10:54 p.m.

Animal complaint

Lincoln County authorities received a report from Eureka about two aggressive dogs. An Evergreen Drive resident said one of the German shepherds owned by a neighbor attacked her little dog. When the neighbor came over to apologize, the dog jumped out of her car window and attacked the caller’s little dog again.

Public assistance

Authorities assisted a woman trying to get into her car with a hurt knee on East 5th Street Extension.

Public safety

A caller requested a police escort to enter her place of business to retrieve a lock box. She said she felt unsafe in the presence of a man in the building.

Suspicious activity

A caller reported an individual retrieving belongings from a storage shed past due on rent.

Suspicious activity

A caller reported a known drug dealer sitting in his truck with the lights on and engine running near Spencer Hill Road. Dispatch inquired whether the individual was engaging in criminal activity. The caller said no, but reiterated that the individual is a drug dealer. The caller later became angry and hung up.

Theft

A male reported his pull trailer being stolen.

Assault

A Pipe Creek resident reported his son had arrived home claiming two individuals had assaulted him.

Animal complaint

A Timber Lane resident reported their neighbors’ dogs howling and barking for hours.

Drugs, drug paraphernalia

A Spencer Hill Road resident reported drug use in the neighborhood.

8:31 p.m.

Suspicious person

Authorities arrested Kathleen Donoghue on possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia charges after a caller reported picking up a hitchhiker that now refused to get out of his vehicle. Her dogs were taken to the animal shelter.
