Graduations

•Saturday, 1 p.m.: Libby High School graduation ceremony at Ralph Tate Memorial Gym at 1 p.m.

•Saturday, 6 p.m.: Troy High School graduation ceremony at Troy Activity Center at 6 p.m.

Heritage Museum Opening Day

Admission by donation

•10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.: Experience what a school was like in 1901. Students assemble on lawn as bell rings, then go inside the main museum building for class.

•10:30 a.m.: Zoe Ann Stoltz from the Montana Historical Society will present “Was that a fly or a raisin in my cake? Camp Cook Challenges” in the Beebe Room.

•11 a.m.: Libby Spinning Squares performance in the Swamp Creek Dance Hall.

•11:45 a.m.: Presentation on mining heritage in the Beebe Room by Mike Cohen.

•Additional displays and activities available throughout the day include the museum’s Model T collection, the Shay locomotive, quilts from the Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild on display in the Tower Gallery, gold panning.

•Regular hours for the museum are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The museum will be open through Saturday, Sept. 14.
