Students from Troy’s after school program helped plant a tree at the Troy Museum for a late celebration of Arbor Day, May 23.

Students made a team effort to properly level the tree before rolling it into its new home. Then, they lined up and took turns shoveling dirt.

Susie Taylor, Troy Museum chair, said she put in for a $300 grant from the Arbor Day Foundation, money the City of Troy used to purchase trees.

The museum bought their new trees from the Bonners Ferry nursery, she said.
