The Lil’ Anglers Fishing Day at the Mill Pond had a good turnout from the community on Saturday.

The childrens fishing derby was organized by Libby Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1548 and the Rotary Club of the Kootenai Valley.

The event featured prizes for all participants, and trophies for the 2-to-5, 6-to-8 and 9-to-11 age groups based on judges’ rankings of their fish.

The trophy winners were John Deitrick in the 2-to-5 age group, Liam Sunell in the 6-to-8 age group and Cyleigh Parker in the 9-to-11 age group.
