Libby High School senior Jayden Winslow is one of 230 graduates statewide to be offered the Montana University System Honor Scholarship.

According to a press release from the Office of Commissioner of Higher Education, it is a renewable scholarship that waives undergraduate tuition for up to eight semesters, and it is the most prestigious scholarship offered by the Montana University System.

To be offered the scholarship, a student has to graduate from an accredited Montana high school with a minimum 3.4 GPA at the end of their seventh semester, take the ACT or SAT, meet college core requirements and attend an eligible Montana campus.

“These scholarships are for Montana’s best and brightest and we are honored to be able to provide them,” said Clayton Christian, Commissioner of Higher Education, according to the release. “We look forward to these students choosing the Montana institution of their choice and getting a great education right here in the state.”
