Bruce Witt

Bruce Michael Witt, 71, passed away after his heart failed him on March 16, 2019, in Kalispell, Montana. He was born July 21, 1947, in Vancouver, Wash. and married his wife, Kathryn Witt there in 1991. They were married for 28 years.

He went to the Columbia River Highschool, served in the Navy from 1966 to 1970, was a firefighter who also worked on wildland fires, and was a search and rescue K9 handler.

He was a stevedore at Kalama Export Company and enjoyed activities such as camping, hiking, kayaking and construction.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents June and Noble Witt and his sister, Thea Witt.

He is survived by his wife, sisters Janet Veatch and Evelyn Plamondon; brother Craig Witt; sons Jeff (wife Carol), Shawn, Jason, Shane (wife Maria), Kip Kirkpatrick and Kirby Kirkpatrick; daughter Sarah Clarke (husband Buck); and his grandchildren Kody Kennan, Ethan and Mason Clarke, and Kyler and Kalia Kirkpatrick.

Memorials can be made in the form of donations to the Marion Fire Department in Marion, Montana.

Services will be held at 2pm, March 30, at the Marion Fire Department. Arrangements are by the Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory.
