The Libby fix is an appropriate compensation

| March 8, 2019 4:00 AM

The Libby fix is an appropriate compensation for any and all victims of Libby, Montana, affected by the actions of W.R. Grace, the State of Montana and the EPA.

The compensation amounts listed in the Libby fix could be given to the victims, I don’t understand why they cannot.

They’re seems to be plenty of money out there or is there. The EPA has thrown several millions of dollars at the cleanup in Libby, are they really sure they cleaned it up?

The answer is probably not. The money that has been spent on the cleanup could have gone to the people of Libby, and they could have chosen to stay or leave Libby.

Unfortunately the asbestos exposures in Libby and the surrounding areas will continue for many generations to come, they (the EPA) could have done a lot more to properly clean up the town.

If they truly wanted a thorough cleanup, they would have removed the asbestos from the walls of properties as well. So the effects will be passed on for generations.

And the good people of Libby will continue to get screwed over by the ones that are supposed to protect them, go figure.

My thought is this: make as much noise as you can to bring real justice to the people affected.

Don’t let anyone dummy down what you and your loved ones are going through.

The Libby fix is appropriate and fair! I can tell you this from experience, this disease doesn’t discriminate on who it affects. The Libby fix is appropriate and fair! Thanks Mike for getting this out there again. Victims deserve this!
