Diane Johnson

Diane Elizabeth (Surman) Johnson, 71, passed away on June 10, 2019, at her home in Lakebay, Washington, just three days short of her 72nd birthday after a lengthy illness.

Diane was born in Helena, Montana, on June 13, 1947, to Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Dorothy Surman. Diane grew up in the Helena area, and in 1969 Diane and her daughters Barbara, Martha and Dalene moved to Libby, Montana. In 1977 Diane married Howard Johnson, and they had one son, Thomas Johnson. Diane and Howard moved to Auburn, Washington, in 1986, and then to the Lakebay in 1997, until the time of her death.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; two sons William Edden Jr and Thomas Johnson; and brother Patrick Surman.

She is survived by her husband Howard, Lakebay, Washington; daughters Barbara Chase and Martha Johnson, Florence, Montana; Dalene (Tiger)/Kevin Johnson, Graham, Washington; brother Mike/Sharon Surman, Auburn, Washington; eight grandkids; nine great-grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At her request, there were no services.
