Officials with Cabinet Peaks Medical Center said the local organization’s annual gala raised a record-setting amount of funds earlier this month.

Held at the Libby Memorial Events Center on Dec. 14, the event brought in about $67,000 for the medical center. Since its inception 25 years ago, the annual extravaganza has raised more than $750,000.

“The Cabinet Peaks Foundation Board and I are amazed by the results of this event once again this year. I am so very grateful for this community’s commitment to our medical center, and for their understanding of the importance of keeping quality care and state-of-the art medical technology available here in Lincoln County,” said Kate Stephens, executive director of the CPMC Foundation, in a statement.

About 300 people attended the event, which featured live and silent auctions as well as local musicians Jacque Jolene and Pour Decisions. Area businesses pitched in by donating cash and items for the auctions, officials said.

“We really can’t say thank you enough,” said Stephens. “The community support that it takes to pull off an event of this size is truly incredible.”
