Youth Runnerfell registration now open
The 30th Youth Runnerfell for boys and girls ages 3-16 will be held Friday, Sept. 13 at the Libby Elementary School track starting at 4 p.m. A short award ceremony for this year’s T-shirt contest winner will be held at 3:45 p.m.
The race is free to all pre-registered runners. Those participants wanting a T-shirt as a remembrance of the event may purchase one when entering. T-shirt cost is $5.
All runners must be pre-registered by Wednesday, Sept. 11. There will be no late registration.
Runners who attend Libby Public Schools will NOT need to provide proof of insurance this year as they will be covered under school district insurance. Runners who do not attend Libby public Schools WILL need to provide proof of insurance. A copy of an insurance card, policy, payroll withdrawal or other appropriate verification will be accepted as proof.
Entry forms are available at the Libby Elementary School, Libby Middle High School, Kootenai Valley Christian School and various businesses around town including Empire Foods, Mac’s Market, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Rosauers, Kootenai Valley Record, The Montanian and The Western News. Participants may enter online at libbyschools.org.
Rummers who finish the race will receive a finisher ribbon, various coupons and their T-shirt if they ordered one. After the race each runner may have a hot dog, chips and drink as part of the reward for finishing. All boys and girls 3-16 are encouraged to enter, run and have an enjoyable experience.

Honorable mention: Abbigale Cutsforth, Elianna Jones, Jordyn Buckner, Isaiah Clark, Bailey Haugen, Vivian Grosch, Cassidy Cuff.
The T-shirts design winner will receive $50 cash, a T-shirt and various coupons. The rewards will be presented on 3:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, the day of the Youth Runnerfell race which will be held at the Libby Elementary School.
The runner-up artists will each receive a coupon from two local businesses. The honorable mention winners will be rewarded with a local business coupon. Coupons will be presented at school some time after race.
This year there were over 200 entries.
