William and Jennie Jo Buyske

William J. (Bill) Buyske passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 8, 2019. Bill was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Oct. 16, 1926. Bill led a full life and loved telling stories about the adventures he had as a youth through his adult life. He married his life partner, Jennie Jo Hamar, on March 19, 1949.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings.

Jennie Jo Buyske passed away on May 1, 2015 in Helena. Jo was born Oct. 29, 1926 in Galveston, Texas. Jo was preceded in death by her parents.

During their years together, Jo and Bill owned and operated businesses in Missouri and Montana, the last being Trojan Lanes in Troy. Bill was the manager of Montana Light and Power until his retirement in 1988. Jo taught Art and Home Ec at Troy High School for many years. Her students still talk about her to this day!

A family memorial service was held on July 9, 2019 in Helena where they were interred.

Bill and Jo are survived by their sons, Marc (Jan) of Helena and Jim (Barb) of Garden City, Idaho; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
