Trench-coat man carries a big stick

A man in a trench coat walking along Pipe Creek was allegedly wielding a machete and jumping into traffic, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office logs. Deputies investigated and the machete turned out to be a stick.

A woman was looking for her six cats, including a pure-bread therapy Bengal. She claimed the cats were trapped in Sanders County and that they were taken to the animal shelter.

A caller advised law officers about a black lab foaming at the mouth.

A bike was reported stolen from East 8th Street in Libby.

The Sheriff’s Office received a report of someone blocking the irrigation ditch on Champion Haul Road.
