Three time Masters Champion, Sir Nick Faldo, comes to Eureka, Montana, to the Wilderness Club Resort Aug. 31 and Sept. 7 to host a golf clinic and meet and greet barbecue.

The event takes place at 5 p.m. and will feature the wit and charm of the CBS Sports and PGA Channel personality. Hardly a stranger to Wilderness Club Resort, Faldo is the course designer of the recently ranked No. 42 course in America in the June edition of Golf Digest magazine.

Resort managing partner, Brian Ehlert, has worked with Faldo the past several years to bring an event like this to the area.

“This event is special because it is an intimate and up close way for golfers to gain valuable tips to help their game, but also to meet one of the nicest professional golfers to have played the game. People know his voice for sure, but as the most successful golfer in UK history, he’s a very down to earth person”, he stated. “Sir Nick actually owns property here at the resort and we are in the midst of designing a new estate home for him overlooking our championship course.”

The 550-acre resort situated just 7 miles south of the Canadian border and four miles West of Eureka off Montana 37, boasts some of the most scenic views of any golf course in America. Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges and beautiful Lake Koocanusa just a quarter mile through Kootenai National Forest to the West of the property, it provides a family friendly experience for beginner and advanced players alike.

“There are moments when wandering around the golf course with its 360 degree views that it’s absolutely silent. In our hustle and bustle life that’s pretty remarkable to experience,” Faldo said. “We want to welcome anyone who wants to improve their swing and mental focus while having a good meal either Saturday,” he added.

The event may be attended by the public through reservations. Two special price admission fees are available. For $179, a round of golf before the 5 p.m. event and the clinic and barbecue or for $60, just the clinic and barbecue. Space will be limited, so attendees are encouraged to contact the Wilderness Club Resort Pro Shop to secure your reservation at 406-889-6501, option 2.

Faldo is a six-time PGA majors champion who has become one of golf’s most known ambassadors while continuing to contribute to the game through live commentary on CBS Sports and the PGA Channel. His company, Faldo Design, is responsible for design and developing several prominent courses worldwide. When he is not designing courses or contributing to live PGA events through color commentary, Faldo also hosts Major Champions Invitational, a junior golfers event which features hand picked male and female future professionals.

The Wilderness Club Resort is a full service family resort and residential community in Eureka. Aside from the Faldo Design course, the resort features rustic cottage and cabin homes for residents and guests on vacation.

With a water park featuring a 250-foot water slide, a full service spa and wellness center, a 21-acre spring fed lake for kayaking and paddle boarding, the resort also includes a fine dining restaurant and 15 horse riding stable and sports park.

The company employs approximately 100 staff in its peak seasons of March-October with about 30 who remain during slower times.
