Jeanne Anderson

Our Lord called one of his most sweet and gentle souls’ home to rest on April 16, 2019. Jeanne Elizabeth Anderson, of Libby, passed away at the age of 76. She was born in Troy, Montana, on Nov. 2, 1942, to Lucile Rathbun and Harry “Thom” Pritchard. Jeanne was the oldest of five children. She grew up in Troy and attended Troy public schools.

Jeanne worked for Henry’s Restaurant for many years until she retired. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping, fishing and dancing at the American Legion; which is where Jeanne met her loving companion of the last 14 years, Ben Tarbert. They spent every day together until she passed.

Jeanne was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother-in-law, Joe Drury. She is survived by her son, Robert; grandchildren, Rose Jemming, Trey Royts, Violet Royts and Crystal Womble; four great-grandchildren; sisters Linda Drury and Pat Stoller; brothers David Pritchard and LeRoy Pritchard; and her extended Tarbert family.

Per Jeanne’s request, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be spread at a place of her request this summer. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW on Saturday, May 4 at 3 p.m. Friends and family attending are encouraged to bring a favorite dessert and memory to share.
