Sen. Tester is in it for us
As a retired ER nurse, I’ve seen what families go through in medical crises. Montana families need elected officials who fight to protect their health care, lower their medical costs and stand up to big health care industries when they try to exploit people who are sick.
As state insurance commissioner, Matt Rosendale has done the opposite. He’s made health care less affordable and stood with the insurance industry every step of the way.
Last year, Rosendale allowed health insurance rate increases of up to 23 percent, even though his job permits him to find proposed rate increases unreasonable.
Rosendale’s policy positions on health care are no better. He’s called for a repeal of our health care law, which would end protections for Montanans with pre-existing conditions. He’s pushed for “short-term” insurance plans that don’t have to cover prescriptions or maternity care. And he opposes Montana’s Medicaid plan, which not only provides nearly 100,000 Montanans with health insurance, but saves millions of dollars and creates thousands of jobs.
Rosendale is clearly in it for himself. Jon Tester is in it for us. Vote for Jon Tester this November.
