Vote for the other guy, not Sen. Tester
Our Sen. Jon Tester is a phony. Here’s why.
Two partners and I owned two patented mining claims between Butte and Melrose. They were patented in 1893 before there was even a U.S. Forest Service. The 1893 map shows a road crossing 1,100 feet of federal land and going to the main workings of the Locust Patented Mining Claim. This road was grandfathered in and should not have been reclaimed, but it was by the Bureau of Land Management.
On contact with them they offered to meet with us in Butte. A partner contacted Sen. Tester’s western office and they agree to intervene in the case. Anyhow, we went to Butte and the meeting took place. One of the BLM officials suggested that he didn’t think a road existed there, even when it showed plainly on old survey maps of the claims. Sen. Tester’s representative never showed at the meeting, never called, and we never heard from them again. This was in 2015.
This showed us what a phony he and his representatives are. We say vote for the other guy.
